Headboard Makeover

BEFORE....I know it's not a horrible before, but I get tired of looking at the same old thing every day!  Every thing is so dark in my bedroom.  I'm thinking, just thinking, of painting my furniture all over again....argh!  I know I'm crazy but I'm tired of black!  I want a bedroom that's light and airy, full of chic antiques and screams character...until then, I'll just paint my headboard.

AFTER.... I really do love how it turned out.  It actually looks better in person I think.  I just painted it with a $5 oops paint at, of all places, Wal-Mart.  I think this gallon is going to go a long way!  I added a $10 decorative piece found at Home Depot.  I find it much easier to nail the deco piece with very small finishing nails then messing with glue!

Some more after pictures...

Now I think I'm ready to change my wall....

It's too COLD outside.....

I have been WAY too cold to work in my garage this winter, so I've taken a little break.  But I'm itching for it to get warm so I can start working on the four dressers gathering dust in my garage.   My hands have never been so clean!  I've been asked by a few friends if I've done anything lately, my response is no.  I know I'm a whimp, but 7 degrees outside does not work for me!  So here are some pieces that I finished last summer/fall to fool you and me into thinking I've been a busy bee.

BEFORE.  I picked this piece up for $10 at a yard sale last summer.  It was in pretty bad shape.

AFTER.  I painted this a light blue and distressed the edges.  I added some rod iron handles I picked up at Hobby Lobby, love that store!!

And of course drawer liner completes the finish look

{White Armoire}

BEFORE.  This piece was heavy!  Real solid.  When I saw it at my local thrift store for $30 I knew I had to have it.  It's hard to get that kind of deal anywhere!

AFTER.  I painted this piece as you see a bright white and distressed it heavily.  The girl who bought this was such a gem!  To say she loved it would be an understatement.  I LOVE selling to those kind of people who appreciate all your work and fall in love with the piece as much as I do!

Tons of storage space

Two cute glass knobs to top it off

{Paco's Dresser Makeover}

BEFORE. This piece as you can see was already painted white.

AFTER.    I painted it aqua and distressed it with a tobacco glaze.  I actually kept this piece for my son's room.  But since this picture was taken, I changed the top four knobs to crystal glass clear.  I tried to take an updated picture but my camera is doing something weird!

As you can see I lined the drawers with some adorable paper.  I wasn't sure how well it would last, did I mention this is my son's dresser?  But it's actually holding up really well.  Everytime I put away his clothes, I smile.(well not really, but sometimes)
