Ice Cream Parlor Chair

This chair reminds me of an ice cream parlor.  It's my latest thrift store find.  $5 buckaroos!

It started out looking like this.   A little sad, a little dirty, and a little dated.

I wasn't sure if I wanted to keep the wood seat. I wasn't in love with the color, so the effort to paint around it wasn't worth it.

So I painted the whole piece a very pale pink, then distressed and glazed it.  It looks white in all these pictures!

I had a little fun editing these pictures in Picasa.  I Love it, and love that it's fa-ree!!

It's been rainy and cold here in Utah.  I just can't get myself out in my damp garage, heavens knows I have a million neglected projects out there!  So a little inside project is what the doctor ordered today!

Here's wishing you warm weather to get your projects done!!

  3. I have been wanting to do a chair like this for Brooklyn's room & use it as a nightstand since she only has one & I would like a small chair in there. Let me know if you come across another little chair like that! ;)

  4. I finally had a decent day to get out and work. It was so nice to be in the sun for a little bit.

I'm loving the chair. My BFF and I were just talking about how nice it is to just tackle a small one afternoon project.
