I just wasn't feeling my mantle I had decorated for Valentine's Day. It was missing something.....pink . What's Valentine's Day without Pink?
So I added a few very simple things. First are these numbers I got at Hobby Lobby for 2 bucks, if that! I just gave them a quick coat of Antique Walnut stain. I love adding a touch of 'real' wood mixed with painted wood.
Then I created this little banner from scrapbook paper. I was thinking that two banners might be too much, but I kinda like it for now. Who knows, I'll probably change it and add something different before Valentine's even gets here. It's how I roll.
I bought these styrophome balls on the same shopping spree to Hobby Lobby. They were $3 for a bag of 12. My 9 year old daughter had fun spray painting them outside. Such a beautiful day yesterday!!
6 Ballet Pink and 6 Ivory.
Then we just stamped words we thought represented Valentine's Day. She had more fun doing this part. Such an easy craft to do with kids!!
I hope you all have a wonderful Valentine's Day spent with those you love.
You decorated so lovely for valentines day, I just put up a heart banner I made in the kitchen and that's it....keeping it simple this year.
