{New Curtains...finally!}

Before...I forgot to take a picture of them actually hanging in all their beautiful glory, but you get the idea.  I have been wanting to get rid of these UGLY blinds FOREVER.  Well now their in my garbage can, where they belong!

My mess.

After....I found these curtain panels at Ross for $14.99 each.  They're the kind that is suppose to save you 20% on your heating and a/c.  We'll see.  Well I didn't buy them for that.  I've been looking, and looking, and looking somemore for ANYTHING that catches my eye really. Well these caught my eye.

I couldn't get a good picture with the sunlight coming through.  But hopefully you get the idea.  They actually look better than I thought they would!  So I'm happy :)

My kitchen looks a lot softer.  So now I just need to worry about my kids not destroying them...did I mention they're white!

{Artwork Touch-up}

Before......I bought this little gem at my thrift store for $4! I wasn't sure exactly if I LOVED it, I knew I liked it, definately for $4 bucks.  I figured I could use the frame for something else if I decided to take out the picture.

After......okay, I think it's a keeper.  It's my first thrift store artwork find, so I wasn't quite sure what I thought about it.   I really do LOVE it.

The blues seem to pop a little better with the white frame.  It just looks more fresh and updated!

I think I'll keep it where it is, my piano needed something!

{Girls Bedroom Makeover}

Before...I really wanted to get rid of their bunkbeds, they weren't horrible, but I had an idea!

I've been storing these headboards and footboards downstairs for a few years now, they were mine and my sisters while we were in our teens.  My step-mom gave them to me because she knew that we'd probably need them eventually with how many kids we have!  It was one of those things that I always looked at but never knew if I should paint them because of their sentimental value.  Well I decided it was time.  Now my girls can create their OWN memories and actually ENJOY them, instead of them gathering dust in the basement.

After....

I kept the same bedding, so it isn't a COMPLETE bedroom makeover.  Infact, I still need to repaint the walls....I'm not sure what color exactly.

But it's cozy and girlie for now.

I REALLY wanted the beds side by side with an adorable chair in between as their nighstand, I tried EVERY layout possible- a no go!  The room is just too small :(  So we formed an L shape, my daughter Lini pointed it out and said it was an L for her name.  It fits.

{Little Pink Lady}

Before.....this little lady had so much potential!  I was so happy that we had a little, (very little) bit of warm weather to work on this piece that's been sitting in my garage for 5 months! I didn't attach the mirror for the before picture, but you can imagine.

After..... I did this a very pale pink for an adorable, deserving little girl.  Every girl needs a whimsical, magical dresser with a mirror to dance in front of!

I kept the same hardware.  I'm guessing this dresser is from the 40's.  Dove-tail drawers and wood casters, aw...I'm in love!

I distressed it somewhat heavily.  I just went to town and now have a blister forming on the side of my thumb!

I hope she loves it, fingers crossed!
