Little Antique *Pink* Desk

Okay, first I have to apologize for not posting a single.thing in 2 months.  To tell you the truth I've been a little burnt out.  I don't know how you gals do it everyday!!  My hats off to ya!  So now that the weather is warming up and my garage isn't a blistering 20 degrees I've actually managed to do a couple pieces, this desk being of them.
Hallelujuah to warm weather!

Hard to believe this desk once looked like this.  It had peeling veneer so bad I had to remove the whole side.

I kept the original hardware.  I initially thought of chunky pink glass knobs, but this hardware is so cool I just had to put it back on plus I think it brings out the distressing.  Bonus.

This desk is NOT white..... it's pink. It looks white in these pictures, infact it looks white in person too! I hope I can find the right buyer for it because it's so pale. I'm thinking I probably should have just done white. Oh well.

Happy painting friends!!

  6. pain control or algiatry, is a branch of medicine employing an interdisciplinary approach for easing the suffering and improving the quality of life of those living with chronic pain. The typical pain management team includes medical practitioners, pharmacists, clinical psychologists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, physician assistants, nurses. The team may also include other mental health specialists and massage therapists. Pain sometimes resolves promptly once the underlying trauma or pathology has healed, and is treated by one practitioner, with drugs such as analgesics and (occasionally) anxiolytics.

Medicine treats injuries and diseases to support and speed healing, and it treats distressing symptoms such as pain to relieve suffering during treatment, healing, and dying. When a painful injury or pathology is resistant to treatment and persists, when pain persists after the injury or pathology has healed, and when medical science cannot identify the cause of pain, the task of medicine is to relieve suffering.
