This chair reminds me of an ice cream parlor. It's my latest thrift store find. $5 buckaroos!
It started out looking like this. A little sad, a little dirty, and a little dated.
I wasn't sure if I wanted to keep the wood seat. I wasn't in love with the color, so the effort to paint around it wasn't worth it.

So I painted the whole piece a very pale pink, then distressed and glazed it. It looks white in all these pictures!
I had a little fun editing these pictures in Picasa. I Love it, and love that it's fa-ree!!
It's been rainy and cold here in Utah. I just can't get myself out in my damp garage, heavens knows I have a million neglected projects out there! So a little inside project is what the doctor ordered today!
Here's wishing you warm weather to get your projects done!!
This is really beautiful! Going through your blog has inspired me so much. I can't wait to move at the end of the summer so I can go crazy with my thrift store finds :)

ReplyDeleteI have been wanting to do a chair like this for Brooklyn's room & use it as a nightstand since she only has one & I would like a small chair in there. Let me know if you come across another little chair like that! ;)
ReplyDeleteI finally had a decent day to get out and work. It was so nice to be in the sun for a little bit.
ReplyDeleteI'm loving the chair. My BFF and I were just talking about how nice it is to just tackle a small one afternoon project.
